The respiratory module is considered by some to be one of the most organized and cohesive
modules. There is a lot of physiology, pathology, microbiology and pharmacology involved so it is A GREAT TIME TO START USING REVIEW BOOKS. To do well in the course, I found it was more than sufficient to
attend/review lectures and read up on topics in review books. The books
I found most helpful were BRS physiology, BRS pathology, Microbiology
Made Ridiculously Simple and First Aid for Step 1. You can read a few
pages from each of these books on the weekends and they help reinforce
the knowledge you gain from lectures. If you have extra time you can
also do practice questions on Kaplan Qbank. Time studying for this
module is time well spent! You will be able to review Respiratory for
board exam with ease because the module lays down a solid
foundation.

Respiratory Module is time well spent
Just to agree completely with the previous post. This module was the 1st time I picked up my Clinical Microbio Made Rediculously Simple because this module does have any supplementary texts. That turned out to be a great idea because alot of the bugs are found in the respiratory module (GI being the other big source of bugs), and the kooky pictures in the book really helped me memorize the bugs.
Now that I'm in Neuro, I've forgotten all the details about the bacteria, but NOT the funny pictures! Now from the pictures I can work backwards and come up with some important points about the "Pneumococcal Warrior"!
